Asahi Kasei has been producing a natural-type coenzyme Q10 by fermentation for more than 25 years, and supplying it around the world. Asahi Kasei’s Coenzyme Q10 is manufactured in accordance with the standards governing the manufacture and quality control of medicines (GMP), and satisfies not only existing standards on medicines, i.e., Japanese Pharmacopeia (JP), US Pharmacopeia (USP) and European Pharmacopeia (EP), but also the more strict voluntary standards of quality control prepared by our company to ensure customer safety. We have been taking various safety measures that include not using any raw materials of animal origin in any of the manufacturing processes, and avoiding the use of recombinant microorganisms for fermentation.
